"Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:6, ESV
Is there anything that we cannot do with God going before us? This verse comes from the "pep talk" that Moses gave to Joshua and the Israelites before they began their conquest of the promised land. This verse can also be applicable in our lives today. Many of us are not facing battles like the Israelites, but we are still fighting in some ways. Some of our battles are in our own hearts, others are in overcoming fears involving our circumstances. I find this verse to make a lot of sense in regards to sharing the gospel. I've loved just sitting in this verse all week and focusing on just one of God's promises to his people.
Something else that has overwhelmingly blessed me this week is this song from Matt Redmon's new CD.
"Every step, we are breathing in your grace. Evermore, we'll be breathing out your praise. You are faithful, God you are faithful".
I want that to be my daily life.
